Sobre un área llana y arenosa, se van sucediendo distintos manchones de coral como montículos. Al costado de un afloramiento hay distintas grietas y oquedades, pequeñas para el paso de un buceador, pero ideales para refugiar a varias especies, comunmente pargos, que suelen abundar. En días de corriente, es normal encontrar barracudas y escuelas de jureles. Agua generalmente muy clara.
